It was indeed with great pleasure, eagerness and excitement that Moments with Mo celebrated its first anniversary and in celebration of this, launched the Inspire Africa Foundation in January 2009.
Despite being the fairly new “kid on the block”, Moments with Mo in just a little over a year of its existence has transformed the face and flavour of African TV. Aside from being the pilot project of Inspire Africa, Moments with Mo is the first ever syndicated daily talk show on African television. It is hosted by the lovely Mo Abudu and aired on M-Net across 48 African countries, and on Terrestrial and Cable TV in different parts of the world.
The Inspire Africa Foundation is the human investment expression of the Inspire Africa brand. It is a non-profit organization that aims to fundraise and harness diverse resources primarily from Africa to implement much needed programmes that are geared towards achieving effective and lasting change in our continent. The focus of the Inspire Africa Foundation is on inspiring the African child.
The Inspire Africa Benefit Concert was the first key initiative of the Inspire Africa Foundation. We partnered with UNICEF, Moments with Mo, Lagos State Government and other corporate organizations to rescue and protect street children from abuse, violence and all forms of exploitation.
As we continue with our quest to inspire, rescue and protect the African child, we invite you to partner with us as we roll out the “Designer’s Outlet” project.
We have just acquired our first “Designer’s Outlet” in Lagos, Nigeria and we are scheduled to open to the public in December 2009.
Kindly note that we are currently extending invitations to various designers to donate to the “Designer’s Outlet”.
If you are a designer and you would like to make a donation from any of your collections to the “Designer’s Outlet” or for further information on our projects, kindly visit www.momentswithmo.tv and www.inspireafrica-foundation.org or call Winifred on +234 802 339 0967.
